Technical features
The Merida e-one forty 400 has a 6061 aluminum frame which allows it to be lighter and more advanced. Thanks to an additional heat treatment and double thickness walls, a light and resistant frame is obtained.
To optimize steering and rigidity, the steering tube is tapered with 11/8 ″ upper and 11/4 ″ and 11/2 ″ lower bearings.
The Merida e-one forty 400 has a clean line because the cables are routed inside the frame through special openings and put under tension, so as not to "rattle" in the most disconnected sections.
Two-component battery covers that offer perfect protection of the internal battery. The softer outer layer reduces noise, seals the down tube perfectly and easily absorbs bumps from trail debris, while the harder inner layer ensures the battery won't get damaged. All essential components such as the rubber strap and o-ring seals can be replaced.
The "internal block system" is directly incorporated into the frame prevents the fork crown from hitting the frame in the event of an accident or too aggressive steering. As an additional protection, rubber bumpers have been added to the frame to prevent any damage to the fork brim on the frame.
The seatpost tube is telescopic to facilitate the rider on descents.
Preparation for Di2 assembly is envisaged, with battery assembly in the saddle pad and fork.
